When performing interior painting work all:
- Furniture, floors, carpets, counters and other items will be protected using a combination of canvas drop clothes, plastic and tape.
- Dents, holes, cracks, nail pops, and peeling paint areas are identified, prepared, and sealed prior to painting.
- Stress cracks are reinforced with strong mesh tape and all nail pops are reinforced with screws prior to painting.
- Areas being repaired are resurfaced using our dust-free repair method which virtually eliminates otherwise fine dust that drifts into surrounding rooms.
- Surface stains such as water, ink, and oils are cleaned, primed and sealed prior to painting.
- Glossy surfaces being painted are de-glossed using chemicals and/or by sanding to ensure proper adhesion.
- Gaps between painted wall and trim surfaces are caulked to provide a look of continuity.
- Repaired areas are re-primed and sealed to ensure proper paint adhesion and maximum paint build.
When performing exterior painting and decorating work all:
- Dirt and chalk is removed from the surfaces being painted using a high pressure washing system.
- Areas not being painted are protected using drop clothes, plastic and tape.
- Peeling, blistered, and checked paint is scraped to remove all loose paint.
- Loose, worn or checked window glaze is replaced when painting windows.
- Loose, worn or checked caulk is replaced on all surfaces being painted using 30-year paintable silicone caulk..
- Soft-wood areas are prepared and filled using exterior wood filler (unless unfeasible due to severity of wood damage in which case we can provide an additional quote for wood replacement.)
- Bare wood or metal areas are primed using Benjamin Moore's Exterior Primers to ensure proper paint adhesion
From top to bottom and side to side, every square inch of the surfaces we're painting are examined for defects and needed repairs.
